Twin Cities Startup Week operates the public website, official host application, sponsor interest form, attendee pass checkout, and related event communications for TCSW '26. You can contact us at hello@tcstartupweek.com.
02 Information we collect
We collect information you choose to provide when you buy a pass, apply to host, submit sponsor interest, contact us, or interact with event operations.
- Pass checkout details, such as name, email, payment status, and the Stripe checkout session needed to confirm purchase.
- Host application details, such as event concept, organization, contact information, preferred date, preferred time window, sponsorship interest, and listing commitment.
- Sponsor inquiry details, such as company name, contact information, budget range, and partnership interest.
- Operational event data, such as Luma calendar access, passholder membership status, and event communications.
- Technical and analytics data, such as browser, device, page path, referral source, and site actions when analytics tooling is enabled.
03 How we use information
We use the information we collect to run TCSW, process attendee passes, review host and sponsor submissions, communicate event updates, protect the site, and understand which pages and actions are working.
- Confirm attendee pass purchases and provide access to official passholder experiences.
- Review host applications and determine calendar placement for the limited official event windows.
- Respond to sponsor and partnership inquiries.
- Send operational messages about applications, tickets, access, schedule changes, and support.
- Maintain site security, debug technical issues, prevent misuse, and improve the website experience.
04 Service providers
We use trusted service providers to operate the website and event flow. These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide their services.
- Stripe for checkout, payment processing, and payment status.
- Luma for calendar, event access, attendee access, and passholder membership operations.
- Vercel for website hosting, deployment, and infrastructure.
- Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics if analytics environment variables are configured.
05 Cookies and analytics
The site may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies for checkout, security, basic site functionality, and analytics. If Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics is enabled, we use it to understand aggregate site behavior and conversion paths. We do not intentionally send payment card data or unnecessary personal details into analytics events.
You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies. Some checkout, access, or form features may not work correctly if required cookies or scripts are blocked.
06 How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, approved event operations partners, or legal and safety authorities when needed to operate TCSW, provide access, comply with law, protect rights, or prevent abuse.
07 Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards for the information we process. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We keep information only as long as needed for event operations, support, accounting, legal obligations, security, and future TCSW planning unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
08 Your choices
You can contact hello@tcstartupweek.com to update information, request deletion where legally required, ask questions about this policy, or opt out of non-essential marketing messages. We may need to retain limited information for legitimate operational, legal, security, or accounting reasons.
09 Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10 Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, event operations, vendors, or legal requirements change. The last updated date above shows when this page was last revised.
